ASF Insurance Scheme Overview
The ASF holds a Public Liability policy for its Individual Members, Member clubs, Speleological councils and the ASF Gift Fund. Coverage applies when members carry out business as stated in the Schedule of Cover. That business is;
"Principally Association participating in the following activities: Cave, Karst & Mine Research, Exploration, Surveying & Recreation, Equipment Testing, Publishing and Photography, Caving (inclusive: Diving) together with training and practice for the above activities as declared; property owners and/or occupiers, trades and services incidental thereto."
The ASF Council adopted The ASF Insurance Scheme Guidelines in January 2002. This document provides the ASF Insurance Contact and the ASF Executive with a framework to administer this Insurance Scheme on behalf of Members.
In summary the Federation holds two (2) Insurance policies:
The policy does cover Members for Public Liability whilst caving in other parts of the world. However, there are a number of exclusions notably being USA & Canada. Extensions to the policy can be arranged at additional cost.

The policy does not cover the individual member of the Federation for Personal Accident insurance.
The policy does not cover the individual member of the Federation for Travel insurance.
The policy does not cover the individual member, or a club of the Federation for Equipment insurance.
